Message par Bast Sam 17 Juil - 0:34

Bon voilà après qu'Aiki m'ai poussé à le faire je poste ma compo dragon, encore inachevé vu que j'essaye d'intégrer le nouveau vice dragon dedans.

Deck disaster (sauce bastien ^^)

Monstres (= 23)
3x - Red-eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
1x - Dark horus
1x - DaD
2x - Blue-eyed white dragon
2x - LaDD
1x - Genesis Dragon
2x - Vice Dragon
2x - Vouivre aux yeux rouges
2x - Dragon Masqué
2x - Dragon Totem
1x - Dragon des Ruines
2x - Pierre Blanche Légendaire
2x - Battle Fader

Magies (= 10)

1x - Future Fusion
2x - Gold Sarcophagus
1x - Tornade Géante
1x - Mystical Space Typhoon
1x - Different Dimension Reincarnation
2x - Transaction
1x - Brain control
1x - Allure of Darkness

Pièges (= 7)

1x - Call of the Haunted
1x - Trap stun
2x - Trappe sans Fond
2x - Interruption de raigeki

Total = 40 cartes

Deck Feature: Mathijs Schuurman’s Disaster Dragons
July 17th, 2010 - 16:34

In Round 3 we saw Mathijs Schuurmann’s Disaster Dragon Deck face off against Victor’s Steinberg’s X-Sabers. While Schuurmann lost that Match, he took this Deck to a second place finish at the Dutch World Championship Qualifier, and is certainly one worth taking a second look at.

The Deck revolves around its key card, Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon (REDMD), which can Special Summon a Dragon-Type monster for free every turn. REDMD can even Special Summon Level 5 or higher monsters like Prime Material Dragon and even Dragon-Type Synchro monsters such as Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend when they’re in the Graveyard. REDMD is very easy to Summon in this Deck as well, as Schuurmann can Normal Summon any Dragon-Type and then remove that Dragon to Special Summon REDMD. From there he can Special Summon another Dragon from his hand or Graveyard.

To quickly gain access to his key card, he plays 2 Copies of Gold Sarcophagus along with Future Fusion and Foolish Burial. Future Fusion is the Deck’s key Spell Card, allowing Schuurmann to send REDMD to his Graveyard instantly. With Five-Headed Dragon being the only Fusion Monster in his Extra Deck he’ll be sending 5 Dragon-Type monsters to his Graveyard. He usually sends at least 1 copy of REDMD, 2 copies of Red-Eyes Wyvern, and uses the remaining slots for Prime Material Dragon or Koa’ki Meiru Drago. If he doesn’t Normal Summon during the turn he plays Future Fusion, he can remove Red-Eyes Wyvern from the Graveyard to Special Summon REDMD, and then start Summoning his other monsters next turn before the 5000 ATK Five-Headed Dragon makes its appearance.

Among the other Dragons in his Deck, Koa’ki Meiru Drago is one of the most useful, and Schuurmann is running 3 copies in his Deck today. Drago has 1900 ATK, but while it is face-up on the field, neither player can Special Summon LIGHT or DARK monsters. This effect prevents Infernity Duelists from playing most of the cards in their Deck, stops Blackwings from Synchro Summoning or using the effect of Blackwing – Vayu the Emblem of Honor, and also prevents Herald Decks from Summoning their 2 key monsters: Herald of Perfection and Archlord Krystia. During the End Phase, Schuurmann must reveal a Dragon-Type monster in his hand or else his Koa’ki Meiru Drago destroys itself, but with almost his entire Monster lineup consisting of Dragons, he’ll be able to keep Drago on the field for a very long time.

This Deck is also capable of Synchro Summoning many monsters, including certain Synchros that no other Deck can Summon. The Level 10 Trident Dragion has 3000 ATK, but by destroying up to 2 of his own cards when it’s Summoned, Schuurmann can attack up to 3 times, dealing as much as 9000 points of damage to his opponents with a direct attack! Exploder Dragonwing is a Level 7 monster that can destroy any monsters it battles with that have lower or equal ATK to its own. At 2400 ATK it can take down several commonly played cards right now, and also inflict damage to the opponent equal to the destroyed monster’s ATK. The added benefit of using these monsters is that if they’re ever destroyed, Schuurmann can use REDMD’s effect to Special Summon them again.

The most interesting card in Schuurmann’s Side Deck is Cloak and Dagger, which he runs 3 copies of. “With this card, I can Chain to the effect of cards like Infernity Launcher and XX-Saber Faultroll, removing the newly Summoned cards from play before they can use their effects” is what he had to say when asked about the card’s use. He can also use it against Frog Decks to take care of Substitoad before the opponent gets a chance to Summon it, and can also use it against X-Sabers when he expects them to Summon XX-Saber Faultroll or XX-Saber Hyunlei.

Mathijs Schuurmann’s Deck has lots of unique tricks to it that most other Decks will not be prepared for, so he will be a difficult opponent to come up against in the later Rounds today.

Deck dragon disaster Empty Re: Deck dragon disaster

Message par Aiki Dim 18 Juil - 14:00

The First feature Match of Day 2 pits Dutch Duelist Mathijs Schuurman against Dan Nelson, a UK Duelist from right here in Birmingham! In Day 1 we saw Schuurman’s Disaster Dragons narrowly lose out to X-Sabers in the Round 3 Feature Match, but his Deck was interesting enough to earn a Deck Profile right after. Both of these Duelists start today on 6 wins, the winner in this Match will still be in a good position for a Top 8 spot.

Nelson won the die roll and decided to go first. He Set a monster and a Spell or Trap before ending.

Schuurman had an opening hand of Bottomless Trap Hole, Starlight Road, Torrential Tribute, Brain Control, Prime Material Dragon and Tiger Dragon. He Set his 3 Trap cards and passed back to Nelson.

Nelson Summoned XX-Saber Emmersblade, and Schuurman responded with Torrential Tribute. Nelson’s Set XX-Saber Darksoul was also destroyed, and he added XX-Saber Fulhelmknight to his hand in the End Phase.

Schuurman drew Koa’ki Meiru Drago and Summoned it. Nelson responded with Torrential Tribute to destroy the Drago.

Nelson Summoned the Fulhelmknight he got from Darksoul and attacked directly, bringing Schuurman down to 6700 Life Points.

Schuurman drew Mirror Force and Set it.

Nelson attacked with Fulhelmknight again and Set a back row.

Schuurman drew Heavy Storm and Nelson played Trap Dustshoot, revealing Tiger Dragon, Prime Material Dragon, Brain Control and Heavy Storm. Prime was sent back to Schuurman’s Deck and he ended his turn.

Nelson attack once again with Fulhelmknight.

Schuurman drew Exploder Dragon, set it, and passed.

Nelson played Mind Control, taking control of Exploder Dragon, and Flip Summoned it. He Tuned it with his XX-Saber Fulhelmknight to Synchro Summon Goyo Guardian, which was removed from play with Bottomless Trap Hole. He Normal Summoned XX-Saber Boggart Knight, declining to use its effect. Boggart Knight attacked directly for 1900, reducing Schuurman to 2200 Life Points. He Set a 3rd Spell or Trap, ending his turn.

Schuurman drew Debris Dragon and Set it.

Nelson activated Cold Wave! Schuurman had no response. Nelson Summoned XX-Saber Pashuul, Tuned with Boggart Knight for XX-Saber Hyunlei, and destroyed Schuurman’s Starlight Road and Mirror Force. He attacked Debris Dragon with Hyunlei, destroying it.

Schuurman drew Gold Sarcophagus and conceded! Dan Nelson takes the lead in the Match, and Schuurman will need to win Duels 2 and 3 to turn the match around.

Local Duelist Dan Nelson.

Schuurman added 2 copies each of Cloak and Dagger and Light and Darkness Dragon to his Main Deck, siding out 4 cards to make space for them. He also decided to go first in Duel 2 and kicked things off with Future Fusion! He revealed the Five-Headed Dragon in his Extra Deck and sent 2 Red-Eyes Wyverns, Totem Dragon and 2 copies of Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon (REDMD) from his deck to the Graveyard. He was holding Exploder Dragon, Prime Material Dragon, Trap Stun, and 2 Masked Dragons in his hand. He Set Trap Stun and ended his turn, removing Red-Eyes Wyvern from play to Special Summon REDMD.

Nelson Set Mirror Force, Mystical Space Typhoon and a monster on his turn.

Schuurman drew Mystical Space Typhoon, summoned Prime Material Dragon from his hand with REDMD’s effect and entered his Battle Phase. Nelson flipped Mystical Space Typhoon and targeted Schuurman’s Trap Stun, which was Chained. Prime Material Dragon attacked over Nelson’s Set XX-Saber Emmersblade, allowing Nelson to Special Summon XX-Saber Pashuul from his deck is Defence Position. Schuurman Set Masked Dragon in Main Phase 2, destroyed Mirror Force with Mystical Space Typhoon and ended. He would get to Summon Five-Headed Dragon next turn.

Nelson drew, took Prime Material Dragon with Mind Control, and tuned it with his Pashuul to Synchro Summon a 2900 ATK Colossal Fighter. Colossal took down REDMD in battle and Nelson Set a monster and a back row in Main Phase 2.

Schuurman drew, Special Summoned Five-Headed Dragon, and Normal Summoned Exploder Dragon. Exploder took down Colossal with its effect and Schuurman took no Battle Damage. Five-Headed attacked the Set XX-Saber Darksoul and Nelson got a XX-Saber Fulhelmknight with its effect in the End Phase.

Nelson summoned Fulhelmknight, attacked Schuurman’s Set Masked Dragon and destroyed it. Nelson Special Summoned Darksoul with Fulhelmknight’s effect while Schuurman Summoned Debris Dragon. Nelson Synchro Summoned XX-Saber Hyunlei in Main Phase 2, destroying Future Fusion and the Five-Headed Dragon attached to it. He added XX-Saber Ragigura to his hand in the End Phase.

Schuurman drew Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, adding it to his hand of Heavy Storm and Exploder Dragon. He played Storm and Nelson Chained Call of the Haunted to Special Summon XX-Saber Darksoul, which was then destroyed. Schuurman Set Phoenix Wing and removed Red-Eyes Wyvern from play to Summon REDMD again in the End Phase. Nelson added Faultroll to his hand. The Duel stood at 7900 Life Points to 8000, with Nelson leading.

Nelson drew and had 5 cards in-hand. He Summoned Emmersblade and Schuurman responded with Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, discarding Masked Dragon to send XX-Saber Hyunlei back to the Extra Deck. Nelson passed.

Schuurman drew Oppression. REDMD’s effect got him Debris Dragon, which he Tuned with Masked Dragon for Exploder Dragonwing, attacking Emmersblade and destroying it with Dragonwing’s effect. Nelson lost 1300 Life Points and then a further 2800 from REDMD’s direct attack. Schuurman Set Royal Oppression, ended his turn and Nelson conceded.

Schuurman takes the Match to a third and final Duel, making the most of his opening turn Future Fusion!

Mathijs Schuurman is in there somewhere..

Nelson decided to go first in Duel 3, Setting a Monster and a Spell or Trap.

Schuurman opened the Duel with Starlight Road, Masked Dragon, Book of Moon, Bottomless Trap Hole, Light and Darkness Dragon, and his drawn card Debris Dragon. He Set his 3 Spells and Traps along with a monster before ending.

Nelson passed without making any plays.

Schuurman draw Future Fusion! He sent 2 copies of Red-Eyes Wyvern, Prime Material Dragon, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon (REDMD) and Totem Dragon, revealing Five-Headed Dragon. In the End Phase he Summoned REDMD with Wyvern’s effect.

Nelson played Heavy Storm, Schuurman chained Starlight Road, and Nelson negated it with Solemn Judgment. Schuurman lost his Book of Moon, Bottomless Trap Hole and Future Fusion. Nelson Normal Summoned XX-Saber Boggart Knight, Special Summoned XX-Saber Darksoul with its effect, and Special Summoned XX-Saber Faultroll! He Set Mystical Space Typhoon and Gottoms’ Emergency Call, making no further plays.

Schuurman drew Koa’ki Meiru Drago, adding it to his hand of Light and Darkness Dragon and Debris Dragon. REDMD’s effect got Schuurman a Totem Dragon, which counted as 2 Tributes for Light and Darkness Dragon! REDMD destroyed Faultroll in battle while Light and Darkness Dragon took care of Boggart Knight, dropping Nelson to 2700 Life Points. Schuurman ended his turn.

Nelson set a Spell or Trap.

Schuurman drew Tiger Dragon, attacked Sangan with REDMD, whose effect was negated by Light and Darkness Dragon. Light and Darkness Dragon then attacked XX-Saber Darksoul, also negated by the Dragon’s effect.

Nelson set a 4th card in the back row and ended.

Schuurman drew Mirror Force, Flipped Summoned Masked Dragon, Normal Summoned Koa’ki Meiru Drago and Nelson had nothing to stop the attacks!

Schuurman comes from behind to win the match, showing the full power of his Disaster Dragons!

Monstres (= 21)
3x - Red-eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
1x - DaD
3x - LaDD
1x - Genesis Dragon
1x - Vice Dragon
1x - White-horned dragon
1x - Materia Dragon
2x - Vouivre aux yeux rouges
2x - Dragon Masqué
2x - Dragon Totem
2x - Dragon des Ruines
1x - Koakimeiru dragon
1x - Exploder dragon

Magies (= 8 )

1x - Future Fusion
2x - Gold Sarcophagus
1x - Tornade Géante
1x - Mystical Space Typhoon
1x - Different Dimension Reincarnation
1x - Brain control
1x - Foolish

Pièges (= 11)

1x - Call of the Haunted
1x - Trap stun
2x - Trappe sans Fond
2x - Interruption de raigeki
1x - Force de miroir
1x - Jugement
2x - Starlight road
1x - Torrentiel

Total = 40 cartes
